Friends of CAIC sponsors create co-branded products in order to expand the reach of safety messaging and raise money to contribute to our mission of supporting avalanche forecasting and education in Colorado. Here are several products available for purchase this year from partners Phunkshun Wear, Sendy Sauce, Point6, Glade, and Tailwind Nutrition!
Phunkshun Wear X Friends of CAIC - Art of the Backcountry
Collaborating for the first time, Phunkshun Wear will feature Leslie Jorgensen’s striking backcountry imagery on winter tubes and balaclavas, transforming them into uniquely beautiful pieces of functional art. Phunkshun Wear and Jorgensen also teamed up to produce a short documentary film, shot on-location in Colorado’s backcountry and in Jorgensen’s Salida studio, beautifully capturing the artist’s story and the origins of the creative collaboration. With each sale of a winter tube or balaclava featuring Leslie’s artwork, a generous donation will be made to Friends of CAIC, making this project directly impactful toward their mission to support avalanche safety education and forecasting in Colorado.SEE FULL COLLECTION
HOT SAUCE FOR AVALANCHE SAFETY
We're thrilled to announce this new collaboration with Sendy Sauce, a mountain-based hot sauce manufacturer, to create a “Spicy Moderate” blend to ignite awareness about Colorado’s notoriously tricky snowpack.
"Layering some Friends of CAIC “Spicy Moderate” sauce on your morning eggs really turns them into a ‘continental” breakfast,” says Sendy Sauce founder Clay VanSteel, referring to Colorado’s blend of cold temperatures, clear skies, and low density snowfall – a recipe for an unpredictable snowpack that you can learn more about below.
We'll be selling bottles at events across the state, or you can buy your own pack at our partner Sendy Sauce's website below.
