About the Trailer
Friends of CAIC purchased a 20 foot trailer for outfitting into a mobile awareness classroom in the spring of 2023. 3D designed by JRDesign and built by Vanlife Customs, the trailer was completed in December of 2023.
Friends of CAIC Trailhead Outreach Coordinators will use the new "Avalanche Aware" curriculum designed by AIARE, CAIC, and NWAC to conduct short awareness presentations that can be tailored to any user group and experience level.
We expect the trailer to visit several partner events and USFS trailheads throughout the season. Keep an eye on Friends of CAIC email and social media for updates to the schedule below as class locations are added.

Funding for Awareness Classroom
The National Forest Foundation's Ski Conservation Fund expanded their support for 23/24 in order to operate the mobile classroom. The trailer was purchased with general operating funds from Friends of CAIC.
